Degree’s Time period

  • Bachelor’s Degree: 4 years of study plus an additional 1-year Turkish language preparation program. 
  • Master’s Degree: 1 year of Turkish language instruction followed by a 2-year program. 
  • PhD: 1 year of Turkish language training plus a 4-year doctoral program

Application Criteria

  • Undergraduate applicants need to have achieved a minimum score of 70%. 
  • Graduate applicants need to have attained a minimum score of 75%. 
  • Candidates in Health Sciences fields such as Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy are required to have a minimum score of 90%.

Age Criteria

  • Undergraduate programs: Applicants must be younger than 21 years old.
  • Master’s programs: Applicants must be younger than 30 years old. 
  • PhD programs: Applicants must be younger than 35 years old. 
  • Research Scholarship: Applicants must be younger than 50 years old.

Eligibility

  • People from all countries are eligible to apply.
  • Graduates or individuals expected to graduate by the end of the current academic year (before August 2023) are eligible.
  • Researchers and academics are also eligible to apply.

Non-Eligibility

  • Turkish citizens and those who have given up their Turkish citizenship are not eligible.
  • Students who are already enrolled in Turkish universities at the same level of study they are applying for are not eligible.

Other Requirements

  • For English taught programs, applicants must have a TOEFL or IELTS certification. These certifications are internationally recognized benchmarks that demonstrate proficiency in English.
  • It is recommended that applicants provide an official academic record detailing all certificates, courses, and grades obtained throughout their academic career.
  • A letter stating the purpose of applying for the scholarship program is required. Applications lacking essential key points or needing improvement in the Statement of Purpose (SOP) may result in rejection.
  • Applicants should not have any significant health issues.
  • Short-term scholarship programs may have additional application requirements. 
  • Applicants are advised to review these requirements during the application period.

List of All Documents

  • Provide a valid National Identification Document or a valid Passport. 
  • This document is necessary for verifying the identity of the candidate. 
  • Upload a recent portrait photo of yourself. It must be clear and identifiable to avoid any issues during the application evaluation. The photo should clearly depict the candidate’s face to facilitate the application review process. 
  • Submit national exam scores if you do not possess any international qualification or certification. This is required for candidates who have not taken any internationally recognized exams. 
  • Provide either a Diploma or a temporary certificate of Graduation. This document confirms your completion of the required academic program. 
  • Upload official Academic transcripts. Online screenshots or uncertified transcripts will not be accepted. 
  • Academic transcripts provide a detailed record of your academic performance, including courses taken and grades obtained. 
  • Submit International exam scores if required by the chosen university and program. This may include exams such as GRE, GMAT, DELF, YDS, YÖS, etc. Some universities and programs may require specific international exam scores for admission. 
  • Provide Language test scores if required by the chosen university and program. 
  • Some universities and programs may require proof of language proficiency, typically through exams like TOEFL or IELTS. 
  • Include a research proposal and an example of your written work if applying for a PhD program. These documents demonstrate your research interests, abilities, and past academic achievements in your field of study.
